From bespoke residences to commercial environments, we design spaces that balance innovation, function, and enduring value.
ABOUT
Kabu Design Architects (KDA) is a full-service architectural practice founded in 2007 by architect Buhle Mathole
With a footprint spanning Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Dubai, the firm operates at the intersection of contextual design, technical excellence, and contemporary architectural thinking.
Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that architecture must respond to both environment and human experience. Every project begins with a deep understanding of site conditions, cultural context, client objectives, and regulatory frameworks. This analytical foundation allows us to craft solutions that are not only visually compelling but structurally sound and practically viable.
Over the years, KDA has delivered residential estates, bespoke homes, commercial buildings, and institutional projects. Each commission reflects our commitment to design integrity, material consideration, and disciplined execution.
